Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 23rd, 2021 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged the woman forced her way into her mother’s residence without permission, causing damage to a window. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 23rd, 2021. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Normand Paquette, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on June 24th, 2021 for a failing to attend for fingerprints offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 23rd, 2021, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2021.

Cornwall, ON – Garry Barstch, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on July 25th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on July 8th, 2021 for a breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 25th, 2021, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on July 25th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant for breaching her conditional sentence order. She was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of release order for failing to remain in her residence and failing to reside with her surety. It is alleged on July 4th, 2021, the woman attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 25th, 2021, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Kennedy Benedict, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on July 26th, 2021 and charged with two counts of breach of release order for failing to abide by his curfew and being outside of his residence with alcohol in his body. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the early morning hours on July 26th, 2021, while police were responding to a disturbance, the intoxicated man was located away from his residence, despite his conditions. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
