SD&G, Ontario – The SD&G Detachment of the OPP conducted 231 RIDE programs over the Christmas break.
“Seven drivers were charged with being impaired by alcohol. An additional six drivers were issued licence suspensions after registering in the “warning” range on approved roadside testing devices,” the OPP state in a news release.
The OPP state that while their Christmas RIDE program blitz has ended, they will continue to conduct RIDE programs sporadically throughout the year.
They also ask that if a driver suspects someone of driving while intoxicated that they call 9-1-1.
