CORNWALL, Ontario – Eight individuals were arrested on Jan. 7, 2019 in relation to an aggravated assault investigation. It is alleged on Jan. 7, 2019, the individuals named below were involved in an altercation at a Guy St. residence, where a man was prevented from leaving the residence, confined using duct tape, and assaulted with a variety of weapons. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Cornwall Police Service believes this to be an isolated incident.
All eight individuals were arrested on Jan. 7, 2019, charged as follows, and held for a bail hearing:
Jordan Thompson, 24, of Akwesasne:
• Aggravated assault
• Forcible confinement
• Conspiracy to commit murder
• Assault with a weapon
• Extortion
• Overcome resistance
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of morphine
Kaitlyn Gougoula, 19, of Cornwall:
• Aggravated assault
• Forcible confinement
• Conspiracy to commit murder
• Assault with a weapon
• Overcome resistance
• Breach of probation x 2
Bobbie Sylvester, 37, of Embrun:
• Aggravated assault
• Forcible confinement
• Conspiracy to commit murder
• Assault with a weapon
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Breach of recognizance x 6
(It should also be noted Bobbie Sylvester was also arrested on the strength of multiple warrants for drug-related charges and failing to appear in court)

• Breach of probation x 5
Toshina Hill, 30, of Cornwall:
