Sponsor supports new Cornwall podcast “The Chat”

CORNWALL, Ontario – Sue Stewart is back behind the microphone with support of local business Riverside Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram ltd.

Seaway News “The Chat” podcast sees Sue Stewart and Patrick Larose talk about the trends of the day and interview fun local guests.

Dan Gagne, General Sales Manager of Riverside Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram ltd. says that his dealership is sees supporting the podcast as a way to reach a new younger audience.

“We want to be active in the community by sponsoring local media,” Gagne said. “It is a new way for us to advertise and to reach a younger generation. Sue has a great following and we are happy to support her in this new venture.”

Stewart outlined her vision for the podcast.

“My vision for this podcast is to just generate good positive conversation,” she said. “Today’s world has a lot of negatives in the news, and sometimes misery loves company…so my hope is to talk about the good stuff of interest and hope those same conversation starters get passed along in other people’s conversations through the week.”

For their guests, Sue already has at least one person in mind who she would be eager to talk to.

“Our Mayor for sure…I always love my conversations with Mayor Bernadette…but we want to talk to her in the non-political sense,” Stewart said. “Down to earth conversation that can continue to show the human side of this woman who now helps run our wonderful city.”

Her co-host Patrick Larose said that this podcast was a new way for Seaway News to reach its large audience.

“We are going to be talking about trending topics, local news and interviewing local guests,” Larose said. “This is another way for us to bring our content to our followers on a different platform.”

The podcast comes out weekly and is currently available on Google Podcasts and iHeart Radio and will soon be coming to Apple Podcasts and other popular podcatchers.
